Our school on the first page of Beijing Normal University Publishing Group

北师大 Link

DMIS Chinese program elementary classes have been using Language and Math text books from Beijing Normal University Publishing Group who is the one of major professional publishes in China.  Lately, our school last year second grade class learning video has been posted on their website.

We are the only one Chinese language program has very close relationship with the editors in USA. They are not only providing online resources and supports to our teachers, also listen to our feedback very often.

Last year, when our 4th and 5th grades had trip in China, the chief editor of math text book came to our hotel to meet our 5th grade students, he recognized that DMIS students have outstanding math skills.

Panda Expectations

Dear Chinese Program Parents:
Chinese program will start Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program from K3 through 5th grade in 2013-2014 school year. It will support and reinforce appropriate behavior in school and help eliminate negative, problem behaviors. PBIS has proven to be significantly better than the old methods of punish and suspend.
We expect all of our students to Be PANDA
P-Positive  态度积极  (Have a positive attitude about school and others)
A-Achievement 实现目标 (set goals, make a plan and take steps to reach those goals)
N-Nice 与人为善 (use manners, be polite and respectful towards everyone)
D-Discipline 严于律己 respect and follow rules, to practice self -control)
A-Academic 努力学习 (success do your very best academically)

In essence, students receive incentives for positive behavior. The details will be refined as our team learns what is most motivating for the children.
Please take this opportunity to talk to your child about the expectations at school and the importance of continuing to demonstrate PANDA behaviors.  With your continued support and involvement.
Sincerely

Chinese Program Teachers
